Subscriptions
A theme which may be spotted throughout my posts so far is a dislike for subscriptions. However, I do have a few subscriptions, and I’ll discuss here why I have them, what the alternatives are, the lifetime subscriptions I have, and matters around sustainability when it comes to development.
How I Swap Between Mac and Windows
Although I have written about Macs so far, I do also have a Windows computer. I built it after becoming frustrated with the lack of gaming options on Macs, as while they have grown considerably in the past few years, many are still Windows exclusives. However, while I am pleased with my decision to have a more work/study focused Mac and a more recreational Windows, challenges are presented in using and swapping between them.
Replacing Day One
The benefits of journaling have long been espoused, and as I decided to take greater care of my mental health, I decided to take up journaling. However, being conscious of the environment and wanting to save on costs in the long term, I wanted to keep it digital.
Music Organisation
Without ageing myself too much here, I vividly remember receiving my first music CD and CD player, and while overtime I have grown a sizeable collection, I exclusively listen to music via devices such as my phone and computer, and have done for many years now.
How I Study
Having been a student for many years, I have become attached to certain products to assist in my workflow. Here is a list of various applications I use to assist me, as well as how I use them. I also discuss which pieces of software I previously used, and why I moved on from them.
